Sales & Marketing Associate
Austin, TX (onsite)
This is a sales roll first. You'll own an individual revenue target and weekly activity goals. You're a personable, proactive closer who uses marketing- and IG Lives- as tools to move inventory, not to build a personal brand.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Drive revenue: Book and run shopping appointments, greet walk-ins, follow up, and close sales.
-
Live selling as a channel: Plan and host concise Instagram Lives that convert viewers to buyers; clip highlights for follow-up
-
Merchandise to sell: Refresh floor sets, signage, and product placement to increase sell-through
-
Clienteling & pipeline: Keep an active list of prospects, designers, and repeat clients; log touch points and next steps.
-
Wholesale support: Coordinate with designers/trade accounts and track orders/reorders.
-
Execute the marketing plan with HQ: Work with the home-office marketing team to deliver the local calendar; provide Austin-specific content, track performance, and optimize spend for ROI.
-
Inventory readiness: Maintain accurate counts; receive/enter SKUs; price and tag all items before sales/events; ensure tags match POS and floor sets are complete.
-
Own the calendar & budget: Run weekly promos/campaigns tied to inventory and events; manage a marketing budget with measurable outcomes.
-
Events: Help run monthly sales and pop-ups (some evenings/weekends).
KPIs You'll Be Measured On:
-
Monthly revenue and close rate
-
Appointments --> purchases conversion, average ticket, UPT
-
Live-sale viewers --> orders conversion
-
Inventory accuracy and % of items priced/tagged ≥ 24 hours pre-sale; shrink
-
Budget use vs. sales lift; execution of planned campaigns
You Are:
-
Personable and sales-driven: you start conversations, ask for the sale, and handle objections with ease.
-
Bubbly and organized: camera-comfortable, with strong follow-through and clean notes.
-
Design-aware: you notice proportion, color, and styling that help product sell.
-
Marketing-smart: short-form video, hooks, and CTA-driven captions that move product (not vanity metrics).
Qualifications:
-
2+ years quota-carrying sales experience in interior design, furniture/home-retail, or showroom sales (required).
-
Hands-on inventory management (receiving, SKUs, counts), pricing and tagging ahead of sales; POS/Shopify familiarity preferred.
-
Track record hitting goals; can speak to close rate, average ticket, monthly volume.
-
IG Lives/Reels or short-form video experience; basic editing helpful.
-
Strong written/verbal communication; available some evenings/weekends for events.
What This Role Is Not
-
An influencer/ambassador gig focused on personal brand growth
-
Remote or mostly behind-the-scenes marketing without selling
-
A pure design role (this is sell the furniture first)
