THE SPIFFY TEAM
Barbara gets lost in route to every install…not because she is directionally challenged (which she is) but because her brain is churning and creating the next idea for Spiffy. She doesn’t just think out of the box, she thinks out of the orbit. Never the rule follower, her designs cross the line from safe to daring-enough. She is a free spirit that keeps our spirits up when we are exhausted. A multitasker that can paint a picture, write a blog, and design a room while doing a spin class. She gets Heidi out of her comfort zone and lets her know it is okay if your socks don’t match.
Heidi is the only person on the planet that can smile when she is on the phone with tech support for the cable company. She will end the call with a lively, “Thank you soooooooooo much!” Who says that when they finish a tech support call? She has that southern charm in spades. But make no mistake; she is the follow through queen, taskmaster, schedule keeper, dog walker, worry keeper, organizer, money manager, comptroller and air traffic control for Spiffy. She is the grease in the wheel that keeps our forward motion. Heidi does the worrying for all of us at Spiffy, and she does it all with a smile.
Irv is a personal trainer and Coach and keeps our installs moving fast. Irv is usually doing an overhead press with a club chair on our moves. Every step he takes and every lift he makes is a workout move. According to Irv, lifting a sofa is equivalent to a bicep hold. He keeps us all honest on our daily diet and exercise. He leads our Sunday Warehouse Warriors Workouts like a champ, even when we would rather veg on the sofa. And of course, he keeps our moves running on time like any good drill Sargent.
Yes, he plays football! Yes, he has been called to try out with an NFL team. Yes, he is still in the hunt to continue to play ball….but in the meantime, his team colors are PINK! Shaq keeps Heidi and Barbara on task with every install. He manages A LOT of stuff! There is just a lot of stuff in our warehouse….and Shaq is literally LARGE and in charge. His nickname around the office is Tiny Shaq. Our kind, gentle, giant is brains and brawn with solutions to our never-ending logistics dilemmas.
James Madison is a tough guy who will cry when you sing “Happy Birthday” to him. He is a lean (not so) mean moving machine and one of Spiffy’s biggest cheerleaders! We are glad he is on the Spiffy team!
Margaret is a Polly Pocket. You just want to put her in your pocket and take her home, she is so stinkin' cute. But don’t let her small stature fool you, Mags is a dynamo. She is on our Spiffy Gals team for her super 'OCD, get it done right and fast' mentality. She can take charge of a space and get a room in tip top shape faster than you can say Roomba. She can’t always style the top book shelf, but who needs to do that when we have Shaq. She is our spiritual leader and mighty staging sista!
The whirling dervish of organization, Wendy will whip you into shape and get you organized and on the move. She spins around a room like a category 5 and de-clutters a space in record time. A self-proclaimed neat freak, she just can’t help herself–she truly loves what she does. With the metabolism of a hummingbird, she needs a place to expend her energy so organizing is a rush for her. She has a knack for style and staging and when she’s not fluffing your home, she is in the warehouse vacuuming. Like we said, she just can’t help herself!
Betsy arrives on every job with a smile. She has that kind of smile that makes you smile. She wears her Spiffy tool belt and calls herself a worker-bee, but we all know she is way more than that. Honestly, we’re all dying to know what is in that tool belt! Gummy bears? nuts? Tic-Tacs? Lint? Whatever it is, we don’t care– she is our pocket full of sunshine, Spiffy gal.
This Spiffy Gal is an artist. No, really, she is. She takes staging to a new level with her creative touch. She has her own clothing Line, LU-C tees, but we are lucky to have her when she has time for us. When she is not sewing her little heart out on her creations she is working on staging masterpieces. We all strive to dress as cool as Lucy, but we just can’t pull it off like she does.
Jack is nimble and Jack is quick…but not only does he jump over the candle stick, he puts out the flame! When Jack is not fighting fires and rescuing humanity at the Crestline Fire Station, he is saving the day at Spiffy. We don’t trust just anyone to drive our beloved truck, Spiffy, around town. But surely anyone who drives a firetruck can drive Spiffy to our installs! We would love to tag Jack our trusty driver on our Instagram but he is the only millennial that we know who doesn’t have social media. Gotta love that!
Lee Alice is our numbers gal. She gets giddy about spreadsheets and all things numbers. With a lot of creative minds at Spiffy, we need someone to keep our numbers in line and count the digits. When she’s not clicking her calculator at work, she is a supermom to her small kiddos back home. She juggles work and family as easy as she juggles the Spiffy books.
Betsy is our Spirit Animal. She fills a room with her cheery, playful disposition that only a veteran preschool teacher can pull off. Even if it’s raining sideways and gusting 40 mph winds, it’s “a beautiful day” to Betsy. Her positivity radiates through our office on a daily basis! Being a spiffy gal scratches her itch for organizing and she is always prepared with sanitizer wipes, goldfish snacks, and a juice box when one of our team members needs a pick-me-up. Fun fact about Betsy— the first sofa she ever bought was bright purple because she thought it looked good with her skin tone... Gotta love that!
Montana is our web designer and content editor. What started as a solving a web-design crisis one afternoon led to Montana becoming our right-hand woman for all things tech-related! Though not on-site with the team, she is constantly managing Spiffy’s whimsical ways and helping to make things look oh-so-fabulous. Aside from cleaning up our content, Montana also works as a nanny and fitness coach in Austin, TX.
Gus is a girl. It doesn’t matter how many times we say say it, everyone still refers to her as a HE. Gus holds court in the Spiffy Warehouse Manor. She doesn’t help with moving, design or staging, but she really looks cute in our Instagram stories.
